“Her support was beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. She didn’t just coach me through each contraction. She held space for me in ways only a sister can. She knew exactly when to step in, when to step back, and when to help my husband find his footing as a supportive partner."

— Lauren Cerna

·       Free consultation

·       One extensive prenatal visit covering all facets of birth education, including stages of labor, what to pack in your bag for labor and delivery, benefits and risks of interventions, natural birth, comfort measures, various options for labor, delivery, and option for baby, devising a birth plan, and multiple references for any service surrounding your birth.

·       A follow-up phone call or Facetime call finalizing your birth plan, discussing current provider appointments, and answering any final questions before birth.

·       On- call support from 38 weeks through 42 weeks. This does not mean that I will be absent from your birth if you happen to deliver before 38 weeks. It simply means that I will stay in the DFW metroplex during the on-call period. If you happen to deliver before the on-call period, and I happen to be out of town, a trusted backup will be provided for you.

·       Labor and delivery support from the time you call me in labor through up to two hours postpartum. Services include assistance with positional changes throughout labor and delivery, comfort measures, education of choices in pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, emotional and physical support, advocacy, and breastfeeding support. A birth timeline and non-professional photos and videos will also be provided.

·       One postpartum visit discussing best practices to ease the transition from birth to home, continued breastfeeding support, education on first foods, the gut-brain connection, discussing and processing your birth story, and referrals to various providers including ILBCs, postpartum doulas, pediatricians, birth photographers, placenta encapsulation services, biological dentists, and more.

*Customized packages are provided upon request.

What is a doula?

•                A doula is professionally trained in childbirth and provides emotional, physical, and educational support to a mother and father who are expecting, is experiencing labor, or has recently given birth. Their purpose is to help women have a safe, memorable, and empowering birthing experience.

What do the fees for service entail?

•                      A deposit will be due at the contract signing. The remainder of the fee will be due at 36 weeks. The deposit is non-refundable. Deposit fees include reserving your due date, false labor visits, prenatal visit, postnatal visit, ongoing communication, and birth aids. In the event Lindsay (or the backup doula) misses a birth due to her error, 50% of the fee is refundable. If Lindsay (or the back-up doula) misses the birth due to client error or actions (failure to call in time or call at all), or unforeseen events, such as rapid labor, emergency c- section, or changing your mind after 32 weeks to not include Lindsay at your birth, the entire fee is non-refundable, and any outstanding fees will be owed.

•                     Cancellation up to 32 weeks gestation- 50% refund of the total fee.

•                     Cancellation after 32 weeks- no refund, and outstanding fees will be owed.

What happens if my doula is at another birth or is sick and cannot support my birth?

•                     If, for some unforeseen reason, Lindsay is unable to attend a client birth, a back-up doula will have been pre-arranged to support the birth. Payment is to be made as described above, and Lindsay will accommodate the back-up doula.

Is there an extra fee if my birth goes over 24 hours?

  •  No, there is no extra fee if your labor goes over 24 hours. Labor is often times already uncharted territory for many moms. Why add the stress of worrying that you will need to pay your doula more while you are in labor? Your labor simply needs to be only about you!

What if I go into labor before your on-call period.

  • No need to stress. Lindsay’s on-call time means that she will not leave the DFW area. However, if a client goes into labor outside of the on-call time, Lindsay will absolutely support your birth. If she is out of town, a trusted back-up will be provided. Rest assured, you will be supported though your labor and delivery!

“I cannot thank Lindsay enough for the support throughout pregnancy and birth. She is a great educator and coach and helped me achieve the natural birth I desired.”
