I’m Lindsay, and this is the heart behind everything I do…

I’m the heart and soul behind Birth Faith Doula. I  have had the honor of serving hundreds of clients and have worked all over the D/FW metroplex with various doctors, midwives, nurses, and staff. Clients and providers often describe me as one of the hardest-working doulas. I strive to be hands- on, deeply compassionate, and relational. My role goes far beyond showing up for labor. I aim to prepare you with knowledge, nurture you with confidence, and surround you with peace during your journey.

I was called to do doula work after my first child was born in a hospital after a long and difficult labor.  My second child was born in the water at home. Both were beautiful births. Both were vastly different. Both were experiences which gave me more empathy, understanding, and passion for the different needs of women.

I believe every birth is a unique reflection of God's design and His presence in birth is one of life's most powerful moments. Birth should be an empowering experience, rooted in education, autonomy, informed consent, support, and most of all, love. I have had the pleasure of encountering a multitude of situations, some requiring quick thinking, collaboration, calmness, competence, and a peaceful sprit. Coming alongside women, being in the trenches with them in the most vulnerable and transformative time of their lives, has been an honor for so many years. I truly care about those I support. It’s what drives me to continue to do this work of servitude. I would love nothing more than to walk beside you through your journey of motherhood.

I am a deeply rooted fifth-generation Texan who grew up in Ft. Worth and graduated from TCU (Go Frogs!) with a BS in journalism/public relations, a minor in vocal performance, and a teaching certification. Upon graduating, I spent seven years as a teacher, then moved into the business sector of the medical world for four years.

When I’m not supporting birthing families across the D/FW area, you’ll likely find me gardening, baking, weightlifting, homeschooling, and walking my big fluffy dog (that sheds way too much!). I also splash around quite a bit as a swim instructor.  I have a love for educating about health and wellness and choose to inspire others to improve their own health journeys. My family is always on-the-go with a mission of positively impacting everyone we meet. We live for being active and thrive on connecting with all kinds of people (two qualities that are essential for being an exceptional doula).

After the birth of my first child, I realized that women could be much more supported in the birthing space. I decided to pair my affinity for teaching with my clinical experience to become a doula who is relational and knowledgeable.

It is these experiences that have developed me into the doula that I am. My mission is to share years of knowledge and experience with my clients so that they may confidently enter the birthing space feeling joyful, well- supported, and informed during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

We came into child birth unaware of so much and she patiently listened to what we knew, filled in the gaps for what we didn't and helped us make some tough decisions (like changing health care providers) to follow what the Lord had laid on our hearts.”

She listened to every fear, honored every instinct, and created a space where I could be fully myself..even in the most vulnerable, very raw birthing moments. During labor, she never left my side. She physically supported me, emotionally grounded me, and gently brought me back to center. She read scripture over us as my daughter was being born…a moment I will never forget. It was one of the most beautiful ways to welcome new life, and I truly believe I could not have had the birth experience I did without her. ”

Lindsay was knowledgeable, understanding, encouraging and helped heal my broken heart after my unexpected c-section with my first baby. I was able to have my VBAC and Lindsay was a big part of helping me accomplish that. We even took advantage of my time between contractions to touch up my makeup. We still laugh about that to this day. Thank you Lindsay, you are a gem!”

Lindsay was our Doula for the birth of both of our daughters and we absolutely love her! She even helped me through some tricky medical issues and helped us find the perfect doctor for our needs. Our first was delivered in a hospital water birth. Lindsay rode with me in the back of our tiny car, prayed and read scripture over me and helped my husband and I in every way possible. Our second was a natural hospital birth and she knew just the position I needed to be in to get my water to break. Baby came minutes later! She knows her stuff and has helped us in SO many ways. If we have another, there is no question who our doula will be. We love Lindsay!”

How do I begin to express the immense gratitude I and my family feel for Lindsey’s doula service. She walked us from the beginning of pregnancy and all through labor. The fears and uneasiness of the whole labor were manageable by having her at my side. She assisted in everything. She was there the entire time while I was in labor. The moment that really still sits in my memory after 3 years is this. The time to push had arrived and I was pushing for several hours when I felt defeated and nodded to Lindsey that I couldn’t do it anymore and she looked at me and said “You CAN do this the baby is almost out, PUSH!” She is the greatest. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a doula..

My Statement of Faith

I believe that birth is a holy moment where God’s design and strength are revealed, and it is my calling to walk alongside mothers and families with gentleness, respect, and grace. My work as a doula is grounded in the belief that every life is a sacred gift from God, created with purpose and love. I seek to serve families with compassion, prayer, and encouragement, trusting in the Lord’s presence through each step of pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
